Staying at Batak Legacy villa is a travel experience like no other. This majestic wooden house used to host and be a silent witness to the extraordinary life of a celebrated noble Batak warrior. This age-old traditional wooden house survived its relocation from the hills of Lake Toba in North Sumatra to the highlands of Bedugul in Bali. Its highly intricate adornments, all its singular carvings and statues, each with its own meaning and prayer, have survived many events that have changed the course of Indonesia's history.

HISTORY
A Cultured People With A Decorated History
The Batak culture originated from the highlands of North Sumatra. Ever since the heyday of the Sriwijaya kingdom, then the mighty ruler of South-East Asia, the Batak people were known as fierce, yet supremely cultured warriors. Their belief system centres around honour and sacred rituals.
